Shan-Tika Watkins

Since her youth, Shan-Tika Watkins has been very active in her church and surrounding community. After establishing herself in Fuquay Varina (F-V)  and becoming involved in several local organizations, Shan-Tika met J. Dwayne Garnett in 2019. The two formed an instant bond and have collaborated on several projects to serve the F-V community. 

Shan-Tika Watkins was born in Rockingham, North Carolina, and assimilated to the Raleigh-Durham area after graduating from North Carolina Central University (NCCU). Shan-Tika holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration from NCCU. She also obtained a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central School of Law. Shan-Tika has worked with the Department of Treasury since 2006. 

Shan-Tika Watkins is a current resident of F-V. She has sought involvement in civic organizations that promote diversity and recognition of all. Additionally, Shan-Tika is a member of the Western Wake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family (mainly her fur babies) and friends, reading, solving mysteries, and traveling.
