Helping brothers to breakthrough without breaking.

Love Is A Parable’s

Brother Empowerment

Brother empowerMENt was initially formed as a platform to partner with community members and organizations, aiming to reduce the stigma of negative male competition and dismantle unhealthy social constructs around manhood and masculinity. Our mission has always been clear: to help brothers break through without breaking. Now, as we continue to evolve, Brother empowerMENt has grown into a broader initiative that actively addresses and combats misandry, misogyny, and the negative isms associated with masculinity.

What started with a podcast has now blossomed into a multifaceted movement, working to provide education, foster understanding, and support men and their families. Our focus is on empowerment, inclusivity, and breaking down the barriers that have historically held back our brothers from truly thriving.

Though we no longer air on Thursdays at 8:30 PM EST, you can still view past podcast discussions on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn, where J. Dwayne Garnett and Cordell Gibson served as hosts.

We understand that everyone needs someone to talk to, and we're here to provide that safe space for our brothers. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need us.

Connect, like, or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Periscope, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

And stay tuned for our annual cookout!

Beyond The Podcast

Below are a few initiatives and readings that we are passionate about, each reflecting our commitment to empowerment, fatherhood, and dismantling harmful social constructs:

  1. I Am Not Abuse – A deep reflection on understanding and rejecting abuse in all its forms.

  2. Black Father Sanctuary – A call to uplift and support Black fathers, emphasizing the importance of community and belonging.

  3. Grief Before Death: Losing My Biological Father – A personal reflection on the emotional journey of losing a father before his actual passing.

  4. Daddy, Where Are You? – A powerful exploration of the absence of fathers and the longing for their presence in our lives.

  5. Growing Up Fatherless – An honest look at the impact of growing up without a father and the resilience required to overcome that absence.

  6. Ending Negative Isms in the Classroom – A focus on addressing harmful stereotypes and social constructs within educational spaces.

  7. Support the Fatherhood Initiatives Petition – Join us in advocating for stronger fatherhood initiatives and addressing the challenges fathers face in society.

We invite you to explore these resources, share them with others, and join us in our mission to create meaningful change.
