Learning To be a Human

Safe Space

LIAP No CircleWhite.png

76% of people globally believe their country is divided, and 59 percent believe it is more divided today than it was 10 years ago (Us News and World Report). We are living in times where it is evident that unity is needed and necessary. It seems that we are living in an extremely divisive culture, where others are skeptical of honesty and genuine goodwill. Times are so rough; within the US, we were recently dubbed the Fractured States of America by Yaffa Franklin.

Though overwhelmed by the reality of how things may be perceived, we have hope for the restoration of collective humanity. Through the facilitation of our workshops, we provide a safe space to learn and uncover. With a nonjudgmental lens, we focus on the ways in which implicit biases disproportionately endanger vulnerable populations, People of Color, the LGBTQ community, women, and other minority groups while developing a greater awareness of self, and the impact of restrictive beliefs.  Consequently, producing champions of togetherness and/or love advocates, who will, in turn, gain the skills necessary to make a positive impact by replicating learned deliverables within their daily living and communities.

Important Note: Through all of our workshops and trainings, we utilize the Sacred Box Theory. The sacred box concept intersects with an adaptation of Sirgy’s Self-Congruity theory to offer a deepened perspective of the concept of self as a basis of the things that we value as sacred, affecting more than our purchasing choices but the means by which we govern and view our lives and interconnections. We believe that this is an effective way of forging togetherness and resolving conflict.
